TF2 Maps Discussion

ctf_premuda

Knew about the "Capture the points with the Flag" idea, was a interesting concept. But this map is pURE AWESOMENESS!1 Already tried it out.
So, I wish this map would be in the "Map test night" event and then in the UKCS TF2 map cycle. :) This is ctf_bermuda.

Invade CTF
This is a 3-Stage Map (like dustbowl), but instead of capping the point by standing on it, you have to deliver the intelligence to the point.
The Capture can be blocked by red players standing in the Block-Area.
The Transmitter (Intel) that you have to deliver dispenses health.

Set on the island of Premuda in the Adriatic Sea,
Blu tries to pinpoint the Red´s main satelite dish to launch an aerial attack to destroy it.

Objective Blu:
BLU wins by delivering the Transmitter to the Capture Points. After the initial Capture the new Transmitter appears after 20 seconds on the captured point.

Objective Red:
Stop BLU from delivering the Transmitter. Standing on the middle of the CP blocks the Capture. Transmitter returns after 20 seconds.

Changelog

A7 [08-31-09]

+ added alpha-explosion (will be lateron exchange with a cinefx explosion)

everyone seems to like that map (at least visually), but the bad skytexture, bright orange lighting and visual clutter didn't really make up for the good custom content (for me)
also the overall layout is quite confusing and cluttered too, scouts could easily run by and capture the intelligence without anyone knowing, there are frustrating death pits where you could not tell if they are death pits or not and on some parts ive ran in circles for 3 minutes or so.

long story short I didnt enjoy it.

I just had a test myself of the map and noticed its massive 108mb filesize (41mb zipped) which to me is overkill. If the map played fine like goldrush it wasnt a problem but just as jesus said its confusing. The map doesnt have a logical direction to walk to and often it has routes that are completely useless but definitely will confuse players.

Its new capture system doesnt improve that at all as i have seen a much better map already and because the flag spawn moves which makes it anoying to take it once it has been returned. The only good thing is the flag itself.

Last, the final explosion isnt rewarding to me. It looks great but the capper is guaranteed to die giving the kills to the ones that just camped. In goldrush/badwater you can at least try to run away and succeed in that quite often.

If the map was 30mb unzipped it would have been fine as its still an alpha but a alpha map should never be 100mb.
Now on the workshop!

Well, developers do testing when they design or develop something new in the game. You should provide a brief description of the discussion topic. This way, the finance homework help can get into context and be encouraged to join the discussion on the forum.

Harris Teeter is an American supermarket which is basically situated in North Carolina and the authorities of the supermarket has created a new employee portal which will help the employees of the company to have information regarding their work schedules and other different details related to their employment at the organisation.
