While visually fantastic, I felt the map had too many hidey-holes that wheren't needed at all and the areas where just..too large.

In darker areas of the map I had some troubles seeing what colour engineer buildings where, which came back to haunt me when it turned out I had been standing next to the enemies buildings for a good while

This map does worrying things to my net_graph.

77 choke, large gaps in the graph (but no loss), huge bars, 112 ping when scoreboard ping is 30. Feels awful to play.

Bumpity bump.

In all honesty I cant stand this map. Quite a few people saying they are not a fan of it either.

I dont usually moan about maps but this is really genuinely awfull!
There are 10 types of people in the world: those that know binary, those that don't, and those that didn't expect this joke to be in base 3.

In it's defence it has some nice technical points. The music playing from random speaker is a nice touch and can hide a spy decloaking. This sniping tower at red final spawn is a nice touch. Not many people know about it but, there is actually no way to get down safely.

Sytlistically it uses none of the TF2 colour palette and looks completely out of place.

The choke points are nasty and even a steamrolling team can get caught out. Too many routes and this is coming from a scout player.

This seems to be a marmite style map - some people love it, personally I abhor it. The chokepoints are horrific, and its just doesnt fit with the style. Its visual style is more CSS than TF2.

I don't mind the map, but I completely agree with Window. The visual style of this map is SO out of place in TF2, it never feels right everytime I play it.

Worst map ever. It's even worse than 2fort and that says a lot. The last point is almost impossible to cap because you have to attack from bottom or from open space. That super-duper lift gets bugged from time to time, not to mention you can jump on almost any roof/sign which gives unfair advantage to soliders and demos.

I've never had the lift glitch.. Cloaked spies (Cloaky dagger!) can trigger it though, stopping snipers etc from getting up

It really is one of those maps that people either love or hate. Personally, I love it. It makes a change from all the other payload maps out there because of the "feel" of it

i really like this map too.
unfortunately, players new to it can make for an unbareable experience. i just left the map on server #1 because, round after round, the team i was on kept taking the main routes creating a duck shoot experience for the opposition :( there's so many back routes to exploit/hold, that if you dont, you can get steamrolled by players who do know and use those routes. its saddening because its not like theyre hidden (i was even typing in team chat to do so, to no avail) the way, a good 50% of the team, i was on were playing could easily have killed any map. it wasn't the map at fault.

^ this is a good thing, in my opinion, and gives reasonable oppertunity for a way back in to the game.

reading all the above comments it seems like the payload fans like it, while fans of other game types don't. maybe it could be dropped from #1, but, it definitely deserves a place on at least #8 <3

Aww, I like this map too, and it tends to get voted on almost every time it comes up on vote, so other people must like it as well!

I agree that the style's pretty inconsistant with the rest of TF2, but that's not a bad thing in my book - different is good :)
