Unfortunately, due to a recent change by Youtube themselves, these tags have had to be revised. We apologise for this, and there are some changes that have come as a direct result.
The forum continues to support the embedding of full HD and high quality video, although you no longer need to specify a quality and this option has been removed in lieu of just using the URL. This is because you can no longer select the quality as before and has resulted in the removal of the ability to force HQ content. As some users may not benefit from the enhanced quality of HD due to power or bandwidth limitations, everytime an HD video is embedded using the new tags, a link to the standard definition video page is displayed underneath. Some other minor revisions have been made such as preventing annotations from loading by default (although they are still available from the "Genie Menu" on the video) and display of video at the native resolution to help load on lower end computers.
The BBcode is still youtubeHD.
Please note that you can no longer embed HQ (High Quality) videos and have them automatically play when loading. This is due to a change with the way that Youtube handles HQ files and they are no longer distinguished from normal quality. To view a youtube video in High Quality you have to click on the HQ button on the video. We apologise but there is nothing we can do to remedy this at the moment. You can, if you are logged into Youtube, force youtube to always show the highest quality video.
For HD content, all you need to do is copy and paste the full url for the video now. All the existing HD embeds will work on this system also.

- Is this definitely an HD video?
- High Quality Videos will no longer auto-embed at full quality- you must click on the HQ button on the bottom right first!
