We have pre-populated a rough location for all recent active members of the forum to get the ball rolling. This is only very approximate and based on an IP to world location. Its accuracy varies wildly, but usually to the nearest internet hub, so people who live close to each other will all be clustered around that common location. However, the expectation is you update your position to somewhere closer to home. We recommend not positioning your marker exactly on your house but as close as you feel comfortable. You can also add comments against your marker and change your marker type as you wish.
The map supports a cool search feature, so you can search and find other members.
We want this to be an interesting and fun addition to UKCS. The map system is fully moderated, and any comments or silly placement of markers will result in the marker being deleted and possibly being blocked from putting down a new marker.
