New Tags: Windows Media Video (Wmv) embedding

How can I embed Wmv videos?

The forum now supports the embedding of the embedding of Windows Media Video files (*.wmv).

The new BBcodes are wmv. As with the youtube BBcode you must supply the URL to the video (not the embed code).

All you need to do is copy and paste the full url for the video file (ending in .wmv), and ensure it is inside the relevant tags:

Code:
Code: Select all
[wmv]VIDEOURL[/wmv]

Example code and embed:
Example code:
Code: Select all
[wmv]http://files.ukcs.net/10002/Friday_vs_Monday.wmv[/wmv]

Isnt this a very heavy for internet tag? As i notice its allways downloading as soon as you open the page. it looks a bit overkill for me... If it was hidden in the same way as a spoiler its fine as now its a internet killer if those videos become too large.
Now on the workshop!

Just opening this thread caused Firefox to hang for about 5-7 seconds which isn't a long time but if the embedded video is large I can see problems. Not to steal your thunder Xerxes, still a good job implementing all of this :).

You need to restart Firefox to see any change with the plugin. :)
