As of today, UKCS will now be sending out tweets to our followers on twitter.com/UKCS. These will range from the latest news from the servers to major announcements.
We'll be posting up user content from all over UKCS, and anything else that you might find interesting. If you've just made a new video or found something really cool, why not drop us a line on twitter (@UKCS) or send us a Direct Message on it?
We look forward to seeing you at http://www.twitter.com/UKCS! (remember, to receive updates you need to follow us!)
We've also put links to get there from the front page and the top right of the forum, if you can't remember the link.
Not currently a twitter user? No problem!
Twitter is a service that lets you send short messages to people you know. This takes place by "following" someone, which simply means you will just be sent their status updates whenever they are made. Other people can also follow you to receive your status updates when you make them.
If you want to get signed up and follow us, simply go to the twitter sign up page and enter in your details. Once you have registered, you can go to the UKCS twitter page and click on "Follow". That's all there is to it!
Twitter forum tags!
To celebrate the new account for UKCS, we've come up with some funky new forum tags for you to use in your signature. All you need to do is pop your username into the twitter tags for your signature. Please note this does not work for private twitter accounts!
If you want to add the UKCS twitter to your signature, paste this text into your signature (you can change "UKCS" to whatever your twitter account is called):
- Code: Select all
If you don't like the standard colours, you can customise it too:
- Code: Select all
[twitter=Title Background=#<colour>, Title Text=#<colour>, Tweet Background=#<colour>, Tweet Text=#<colour>, Links=#<colour>]<Username>[/twitter]
Just replace <colour> with a hexadecimal colour (like you use for customising your twitter page) and <Username> by your account. If you need a hand, contact a moderator!
Thanks goes to Xerxes for all his work on this.
