Big news!
TC and I have been busy rehashing and totally remaking the UKCS logo from the ground up using high quality vector artwork as the base. This is great for UKCS because we've only ever had the small (754px by 405px) version to do things with, and whilst the version we have gives us some flexibility in what we can do in terms of editing, it was restrictive for anything other than small scale purposes. Over the next few days we'll be updating all the logos on the UKCS site to reflect the brand new logos. We will also remake the UKCS logos "Megapack" with the same variety of image types in it at the same resolution as has been available before to the public .

We've gone through and improved nearly every single part of the master logo, including the quality and vibrancy of parts of it. This remake from the ground up has also given us a fully editable and customisable document that we can use for any further changes or alterations to the logo in future. To give you a kind of benchmark of how large we've made it, the resolutions were:
Old Version: 754px by 405px
New Version: 21384px by 11486px
This equates to a change in size of 2,836% from the original size and to show it all at full resolution would require 12 by 11 (132) 1080p monitors side by side!
Why so big? We're entering into new territory with UKCS, both in the quality and level of service we provide and the number of regular users that we have. This new sized logo gives us the flexibility to create high resolution print work (think posters/banners) for events, and also start a new branching out into new areas for UKCS! This increase in resolution means we could potentially print the UKCS logo at 71" (1.8m) wide at 300dpi - the same pixel density that laser printers use. In practice we can print even larger as most large scale printing uses a lower dpi! To give you an idea of the size of our large scale version, there's a portion of the logo at the same size as the existing logos here. Hint: It's the end of the gun.
We've also improved the logo somewhat; all the layers use high resolution photoshop layer effects, we've altered parts to make them more aesthetically pleasing and we've moved away from using the generic Counterstrike logo. This is prescriptive of the fact that UKCS is no longer just about Counterstrike, but also that UKCS is still growing and a more general logo is more appropriate; TC and I have spent hours and hours custom crafting a figurine that is reminiscent of the original Counterstrike logo but refreshingly different at the same time - I'm sure you'll all agree this is a great step forward!
Without further ado, I present to you the new logo (hover over it to see the old logo at the same size):
Not only this, but the existing standalone DoD and TF2 logos have also been rebuilt using similar methods and to the same approximate sizes. We'll be using these in game and for game advertising, but we'll be using the standard UKCS logo for all print work. As before, hover over to see the old version of the logo.
Cheers!
TC/Xerxes.
