We've been running a long time and times have changed - both within the world of Counterstrike and Steam Games, but also most of our own private lives too!

Its with sadness, I closed down the final server today - CSS#1

Cetainly the end of an era. As you say, a lot has changed in the past few years. I have found myself playing TF2 again recently and really missing community servers. It seems the only surviving ones are all modded

Its been a long time since I've been around. Seen the mail from TC and just had to come back and say one last goodbye.

Thank you TC, all of the other admins, the moderators and the players for making UKCS what it was.

Thanks for the memories. I've made lifelong friends from the TF2 servers and a couple of amusing enemies. Hope everyone that I'm not in touch with is doing well. Geezer hugs all round!

Many fond memories, and thank you all for being an incredible community both in and out of game.
Sadly, as you say, the landscape of the games we loved changed over the years. Things moved on.
But we'll always have the 3am flashbacks to Insomnia.

But no, seriously thank you so much, the difference made to many lives can't be written down easily but it was so much more than servers in a datacentre somewhere, it was the admins and people that made it a home for many and lead to friendships a plenty plus tons of great times playing online.

Thanks again TC, Apache, Kan, Unspec etc etc etc the list goes on and on.

I'm sad to see this! I loved playing on the UKCS servers when I was playing TF2. I met so many lovely people, and have found firm friends. I always think back to those years playing TF2 with everyone with such happiness! I had fun being admin for the time I was one thank you to you TC for providing the servers and for all of the admins who made UKCS a friendly, safe place to play. Thank you to all the regulars who made an amazing game even more amazing with the community they built. I wish everyone well with their lives! Lots of love, Safire X

As everyone else has said, a truly sad day, but I'll always be grateful for finding a home on UKCS and for the many wonderful hours I spent there. It also got me through a very rough patch in my life and I made such good friends.
Server #8 will always have a very special place for me - as will the people who made it what it was.
Thank you TC and to all who made UKCS so special, and to the admins who kept it a clean and safe environment for all to enjoy.
I hope we'll keep in touch from time to time, and who knows what the future may hold. I will always live in hope of Valve getting things together for TF3 one day

A sad moment to see things go, but all good things come to an end. Perhaps forgotten from my memory in recent years in a tumultuous life, but I will never forget the time I've spent here. The games that I have played, friends I have made and other interests that I have shared and pursued due to being in this community. Truly the best community I have ever been a part of when it comes to gaming and I miss and will continue to miss the good ol days as times moves on.

Thank you for everything over the crazy years TC, fellows admins, and everyone else within the community. It has had a big effect on my life to the point where I am now an artist at Ubisoft working on the Ghost Recon franchise creating weapons or doing other insane projects. I would not have thought I would do all this back when I was playing TF2 10 years ago and creating signatures on the forums here.

Wish everyone the best in their future endeavours, and once again. Thank you!

It’s such a shame Nigel will miss the community , have some ups and downs, made some great friends ( you know who you are ) and had some right laughs.

Going all the way back to 1.5cs with You lot has moulded the way I am, I’m truly honoured to have the title of being the man on the mic ( loading screen of 1.5 ) to being granted admin.

Everyone behind the scenes has worked tirelessly and thoroughly put 110%into making sure ukcs stays a safe fun and enjoyable place.

Obviously it wouldn’t go without saying that it’s the community spirit of ukcs that has made it thrive, without you guys and girls, ukcs would of been dead a long long time ago. So thank you everyone.

I only joined UKCS much later on than most people and became an admin in TF2 for a small period of that; but in that time I have made so many life long friends since then.

I used to play on the servers quite often until one day I decided to drop into Mumble, and stuck around ever since. I met a bunch of you guys in the Eon Lounge too when UKCS had their room at Insomnia and everyone was so friendly; I still wear my UKCS iSeries shirt at each LAN for the memories (thanks Xiggy!)

Thank you everyone who made the community what it was and thank you for all of the memories; I will miss the sense of community that the servers bought together, partially all of the fun and laughs that we had on #2.

Thank you all for all the many years so many of us have played on UKCS. It has been so much more than a gaming server, to me, it is always a community of online gamers, distinct from all others. This is a pretty sad day for me but I wish you all the best and thank you for your years of service..
