UKCS Mega Game Servers

Nothing but love, respect and most all thanks to TC and everyone working hard behind the scenes for some of my fondest memories gaming. I've not heard from Marter in a long time but I hope he's well as are the rest of the old 1.6. crew.

I've played on and off since around 2005/6. Under "William, WillMase, Mason-". Decided to come and play again and looks like sadly the server is down . I tried to remember some people from back in the day, remembered Kev and added him, he pointed me to some servers people play on now. It is really sad though, I enjoyed the rank system and the server rotations. UKCS CSS#2 was the best.

If anyone wants to add me on steam please do. Thanks.

Absolutely gutted, played UKCS CSS serves since about 2011 and took a break a year back, so many fond memories with all of you, thanks Elmo and the rest of the team for all your hard work, proud of everybody. I make maps for source games now because of my time with UKCS, will be a tribute in the next one. All the best!

A couple of WoW friends got me playing CS again last night for the first time in years.. it was great fun. I’ve come here to see if things were still up and running and sad to see it’s an end of an era.

It’s been a long time since I was here - but I had some amazing times back in the day and I’m still friends with some of the folks I met here.

Truthfully, I only played on UKCS servers for a few months in 2011 but during that time I had thrown myself into TF2 as an escape from some of the things that were happening in my life as a teenager by playing for an obscene amount of time every day.
The sense of community I got from UKCS truly helped me through and left such a mark that it's still something I think about now and then, enough to check up on the website occasionally.
I'd drop some names but i'd be awkward when they don't remember who I am
To all the players on TF2 #1 and #2 during that time, to all the admin and staff that maintained this community, thanks for the memories.

I am extremely late to the party, but felt like I needed to post something nonetheless.

I started on UKCS a very, very long time ago. There were many ups and downs, mostly due to how chaotic my childhood was. However UKCS was always a home from home, an escape from reality and filled with some of the kindest and most decent people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I had so many good times, across all the different versions and with a number of fellow gamers over the years.

Life, as with everyone, slowly takes over. I was barely a teenager when I first started on the servers and I’m now into my 30’s.

I hope everyone is doing well, and that life has worked out how you hoped.

Nigel - thank you for everything you’ve done for the community, and for myself. I know I tested your patience a number of times!

I played on the CSS #1 religiously for many years and many of my favourite gaming moments are on this server. Thanks for all the memories.

Thank you to everyone who ran things behind the scenes and to all the players on CSS Server 1 and 2. I started playing after I left college and was struggling to find work, so you guys kept me company when I was home alone all day. I have great memories of playing with everyone and I wish I had played more these past 5 years on the odd night that it was still busy. I hope we can arrange a 1 off night every once in a while. It´s really sad, that no servers from UKCS are running anymore and also the forum appears to be not moderated anymore, judging from the spam accounts and their messages.
I stopped playing TF2 in august 2016, just had no interest after having it played for almost 5 years. It was such a good place to be and I remember all the fun, with safire, skeletalBOB, feenix, Kater... It was like "ok, work is finished, finally time to play for some hours" . This year, shortly before corona started, I somehow regained interest in that well aged game. After spending some months on fragmasters another guy told me, why not run our own PL server, without all the pay-to-win perks and reserved slot kicking stuff. Well, it´s now 2 weeks since the new server is up and I was curious if some of the players from back then are still interested in TF2 payload at all? I am not posting the IP here, since it´s actually UKCS forum here and I don´t want to be cheeky and abuse that forum for advertising. Maybe TC or angel can PM me, if it´s ok to post the IP here. It would be great to see some guys from back then again and play together.

I don't think I'll ever forget playing on UKCS for the first time back in 2004. Quite a bit has changed since then! What a brilliant community this was, and still is.

Thank you to Nigel, and thanks to all for making UKCS fantastic. Some really, really good memories.

ahh, after couple of years I've found CSS again, without UKCS it's less fun though
