Wanting some advice

Sup guys, needing your help with something.

For today and today only, L4D2 is £6.80 and I can't decide whether I want it or not. In the original game, I felt it got boring very quickly and there wasn't that much to do. Save for new infected and melee weapons, I know nothing of L4D2. Would you guys be able to give me a comparison of the two games before I buy it?

Pretty much the same as the first, gets boring very quickly, if you have £7 to spend away then do it, but with hindsight, I would have never of bought the piece-o-crap of a game.

If I'm honest save your pennies, I'm sure others would agree with me here, it just lacks support and any real good content for it to be worth it, if it was easier to have custom maps/content like TF2 and CSS then it would be great, but it's let down by a shoddy matchmaking system and a poor way of getting custom maps.

Ohohoho, i've just enyoed a great run with Alias on L4D2.

and no custom content? jeez, go download a custom campaign and start a lobby.
Enough random people join in and enough servers support the custom campaigns.

There are even server with custom mutations!
Mutations are weekly gamemodes by valve, this week it's chainsaw massacre again.

It's a hell of a good game to play with friends.

Just more stuff, better graphics, there's still no attachment to the characters like the first ones, I would go around for some reviews on various sites, excluding the big companies that would say CODMW2 was good!

Let's change this up a bit. What are five reasons to get L4D2 which makes it better than the first game?

- More variety in weapons and other items (melee instead of pistols, bile bombs, adrenaline, nade launchers, defibs).
- More variety in infected (basicly all l4d1 issues of corner camping are solved)
- More variety in campaigns - some are 5 stage, some just 3... and each has its unique style (sewer, city, farm like). its generaly still the same as l4d1 styles but weather in each campaign can decide alot.
- Mutations
- Realism mode (versus and campaign both are awesome)
- Scavenge. a simple short round based versus mode
- Better versus system (distance is the main factor to decide the winner)

And then there is some server mods that again give new gamemodes like 10 vs 10 versus.

I would still say 20 euros is a fine price for it. i bought 50 euro for it and still dont care that it was that expensive. Valve made great improvements which i think they never could have done in l4d1 by adding content. L4d1 lost too many players which were the main reason l4d2 had to be made.

I'm still feeling really torn up inside about buying this game so it's now pretty certain that it isn't going to be bought. Thanks for all your input guys but thinking back to how repetitive the first game got, I think I'll be passing on this one.
