New L4D player

I just bought these two last night, so I'll think I'll be giving them a go soon.

I have one very important question, though: How do you equip hats?

There are some characters in the both games that wears hats.

Okay, a real question : is it wise to play l4d2 without having played the first game? Or doesn't it really matter?

doesnt really matter - although I preferred the characters in the first game.

Doesn't really matter, L4D1 is really now more of a subset of L4D2 since the second has more weapons, Special Infected and other things like that - and particularly now that you're starting to get to play the L4D1 campaigns in it.

for story line i would suggest going through 1 then through 2. but otherwise it doesnt really matter.

if u ever fancy a game of l4d1 hit me up. still prefer it to l4d2
