i cant connect to css HELP !

ive re-installed half life 2 , i have updated all games i need and can play them EXECPT CSS ! i can play counter strike but not css , it wont load at all. i took it all out and started again and got the same result , can someone help ?

what message comes up when you try to play it?

Have you checked your gpu and if there's a driver issue? But if you can play hl2, the driver should be fine.....Did you try reinstall steam?

i dont get any message come up , its has the pre-paring to launch css box then that goes and nothing happens.

i have installed steam 3 times now , twice using orange box eddition and once using counter strike eddition and still no joy.

Sounds strange...and for some reason its only CSS that will not work?! Do you use any script that may cause this? Have you installed any programs recently that may cause problems launching CSS?

nothing in-stalled went from a frsh in-stall of windows to installing steam , its very strange.

Things to try.

Verify the games cache.
Make sure your fire wall is not blocking in any way
delete the clientregistry.blob file from your steam folder.

dont forget to clean your registry will help also.
