Microphone problems in CS:S still.

Right a bought a new mic now and it still doesn't in cs:s but it does work on vent , team speak , audacity ........every thing but cs:s.

I think if i could turn the ingame boost of it might work a bit better but it won't let me turn that off .

if any one can help me and has had problems like this before please post here and tell me what i need to do .

still got problems hmmm! never had this before every mic i buy brand new which is once a month works fine each time! meh im baffled youres doesn't work :S

I just did a test and people said they could hear it it just sounded horrible .

thing is cos i can't hear it (doesn't sound that bad in test just quiet ..and its on full) i don't have a clue exactly whats wrong with it in terms of how it sounds.

well hears an idea test it in setup quiet then use it on UKCS see how that goes and keep boosting it every so often to get the right pitch?

still need to solve the problem of cfg boost not turning off.

Nope it says some thing about cfg then goes right back on .

I've had this problem for ages, I just gave up in the end. People will just have to deal with the noise

This is a bug in Valve code, and is scheduled for a fix.

Sick , people said now when i tried this morning that they can hear me but only just like im whispering or some thing .

Then when i boost it they say it sounds really horrible and is just static .And my mic is on full in every thing so why should it be quiet ?

It could be a sound driver issue,try installing the latest driver and the sofwated included,try that intead of mic boost within steam.

Not sure what sound card are you using
Here is what i mean (using realtek integrated sound card)
Not sure if you have a similar sofware or something ,but worth is a try

Tried that it said i have most resent driver installed .

also tbh you would think a game thats been out about 5 years wouldn't have a problem like this floating around :S

what i said was dumb ............im using vista , vista wasn't out back then so ill give that to valve .........but maybe they should have updated to the times :S
