Backpack examiner [Trading Hats]

Go there find yourself and you can see what you have in your backpack.

One of the newest features that you can claim your own page and after that you can TRADE hats.
You can choose one of your hats and choose what you want for exchange, after that it searches for matches.
You can't trade with it (yet).

you can also see all the medals that have been given away

My backpack

Yes, there have been multiple threads about hats and the backpack examiner, but this is intended like a trading topic..

The trading doesnt work yet and is verified by drunken fool himself:

Obviously since trading isn't actually in the game yet, you won't be able to do any actual trading. It will still help you find people to trade with for when trading is released.

And screens he posted:

What's to stop any person from claiming somebody elses page?

I would have thought trading would be only possible in the game itself.

I suspect this will need permission from valve before it will actually be able to do the trades for you...

I haven't tried the claim link yet, but i hope it some how verifies that is my steam account...

Yet again people go to the same people who got their stuff banned in the first place. I would advise anyone to hold off on anything source op have to offer until valve have a reply. I understand how frustrating this is for everyone but if you don't want a repeat of the idle incident you best heed my words.

after you claim your backpack it gives you a code, which you then need to place in your steam account profile to prove that its really you

+1

Everyone wants a piece of the pie and Valve wants it all.
So my suggestion would be : WAIT FOR VALVE , or don't complaing if things go wrong

It's save, you can only look your items up and that's it.
the so called trade system, is just a matchmaking system.
It's safe, the creators even got community weapons from Valve.

Yeah but the same creators also got everybody's weapons removed for using the idle program. Valve seem to like the backpack viewer but obviously hated the idle program, so the fact that its made by them doesn't actually say very much :)

I'm with funkyspider and will be waiting to see what valve have to say about this new addition before i start using it (and its utterly useless until valve enable trading anyway).

Are medals random drops like hats?

Quite a bad and unfair way... All european people will see the easter egg very late as most updates are in the middle of the night (2pm uk time, 3pm for most of europe). Its not a wonder that most US people have one and the EU people have none (and if they have one it shows they are extreme addicts of the game).

Or you are as lucky as gunpowder...

I was told [after] that the website only accepted people in the USA anyway.
