L4D2 Steam group Servers

Hi

Im trying to see ukcs L4D2 servers in Steam group Servers but not having any luck finding any....

* L4D2#1 83.142.230.40:27030
* L4D2#2 83.142.230.40:27035
* L4D2#3 83.142.230.40:27040

I tried joining from console, and i got this............

Connecting to public(83.142.230.40:27040)
Sending UDP connect to public IP 83.142.230.40:27040
Invalid protocol, expecting 2002, got 2001

Any ideas?

i think the servers arent updated.

When there are new updates of L4D2 the UKCS servers need manually updating afterwards. I did the update shortly after you originally posted which would have resolved the problem.

that sounded so cliche lol. shame we cant choose to use them from the lobby, like with a vs game.

You can so long as you use the command (ms_dedicated_force_server or something, you can also prioritis, so for example svr1|svr2|svr3|ur_srv|friends_server i believe, so would be good go into autoexec.cfg, but not sure what happens if none of those servers are avaiable :S - MIGHT go local, thats the only problem.

Ah yes but how do i get the IP without connecting to it?
