TF2 Engie Jumping made BY MEEEE!

Sup, I made an engineer jump movie! So what did I do? I uploaded it youtube only for it to fail! In my rage and my nights of crying, I did it again but with slightly crappier editing!

So, this time I went to encode and what happened?! IT FAILED AGAIN! Because I couldn't be arsed re rendering 5-6 more times using various codecs only for it to fail, I used the Divx4Mpeg4 route and did that instead!





Watch in HD, my orignal plan was to have it in amazing quality recorded in 200 fps, encoded with h264 and even uploaded onto PLDX!

This was essentially a test for my frag movie that I am doing, using the same song and the same style, but the style changing when the song has changed etc.

Anyway, due to unforseen fagg*try I cannot present to you a glistening, wonderful, masterpiece, but instead a monotone, lackluster, poorly edited s****st.

I hope I didn't waste to much time...

Also, coming soon, my frag movie and hopefully a more advanced engie jump movie, where I fly around the map WHICH WILL BE MUCH BETTER!
And possibly me pwning some of teh newbz in public using this very technique!

No scripts were used in this video.

Nice jumps, but in my opinion all those sentry spot are easily destroyed by a good demo, so i won't call the exploit card

What I mean is that roof you are standing on is about to get hit by the miracle of player clip which as always what happens when all the half decent spots get put on youtube. Can't blame Valve to be honest. Got to keep the game balanced and player clip is part of that.

Well I don't see a need to, because you'd never actually get to do it on UKCS with so many people on it...

Just as long as Engies don't start doing this to build sentries in noclip areas or in general areas that they really aren't supposed to be building on...

Nope, it's easy once you've practiced it.

What I do is, crouch jump (like with the soldier) and press M2, I hold M2 down and press Q whilst looking at the sentry (you dont have to look at it directly, just so the pickup symbol is there) and you get it, holding down M2 will make you pick up the sentry as soon as you get your wrench out and is active.

Some really nice jumps in there. I'm with wombat on this, think taking the sentry with you is a little OP and is a little against the spirit of the game. (Not saying I dont want to try it/it's not allowed etc)

If it takes a few seconds to unpack a building, surely it should take the same amount of time to pack up! Or at least not instantly.

The only thing that would make it OP is if another engineer was with you, everyone cries OP at every new weapon that comes out, TDH, FAN (was even considered underpowered), Chargin Targe + Eyelander.

It's only OP because all you see is engineers, me using those jumps would only give me the benefit of surprise for about a few seconds, considering they will see my laser dot, nobody actually realises that if you go sniper during this update you benefit more, and that to fill my sentry with ammo I have to disable the gun.

Give it a month, you wont be saying it's OP anymore, infact, the mini sentry + wrangler is more OP than this.

Impressive, wasn't sure if you could do it fast enough to grab the sentry as you jumped I've just been deploying teleporters where I want to get to after the jump
