Anyone playing this on steam? I know Salva and Q are - installed on Sunday, already 12 hours sunk into it. Its not P2W and its like TF2 crossed with COD.

5 Maps but you play as attackers or defenders, and there seems to be plenty of pathing variety too.

Uninstalled after 2 hours of playtime. Nobody is watching flanks so you either steamroll or get steamrolled. Depends which team has less brain dead players.

I've played a couple of hours of it and I quite like it. Find it a refreshing change from some of the other FPS games out there at the minute. And the fact I don't need to spend any money in the game is always a bonus. After earning enough credits I decided to unlock Arty as a new merc for me to use and I like him already. This is what happened in my 1st match with him



And yes, I did carry my team.

Also, if you want a couple of loadout cards, head here - Clicky - That will give you an Alienware loadout card for two of the mercs. Can't remember which ones though

Tried Fragger and he is good fun. Maybe because I was running around a few times with his melee weapon and just smacking people to death with it

Pretty mad right now at the high level Phantom spam. Making the game unplayable, unless anyone has any actual tips to counter them ('git gud' is not a tip).

Played a couple of games of this and it is entertaining but at the same time hasn't yet caught my full on attention.

From what I understand of Phantom (not played against him yet, spam is likely due to new release) he acts much like a Spy from TF2. Look for the shimmer, watch your back, be mindful of flanks.


The Stopwatch gamemode is basically Assault from UT2004 which is all I've been wanting from a game since UT3 came out. Very happy with it so far but I wish it had a way of queueing with friends as well as an easier way of getting into 8v8 without using the browser and playing it isn't full.


EDIT: Just had a thought; Proxy's mines could be detrimental to a Phantom.

Well, Phantom just got nerfed into the ground when you consider his skillset, but on the upside it's now perfectly valid to endlessly mock anybody who ever complains that he's still overpowered. The least stealthy stealth class in anything ever.

If people ever die to him now, it's because they weren't paying attention whatsoever.

Meanwhile, Kira is still godlike and all you ever need.

Had a quick session, 2-3 games or so. I quite like it, teams didn't appear to suck and even at low level people were switching to helpful classes.

Might tire with only a few mercs to choose from but I think having 2 free to start with might help with that, hopefully.

I miss people switching to helpful classes. There's only so much I can take as the only Aura player on the team and people are endlessly running into enemy gunfire around blind corners.

played a few rounds there.. 1: they need to make the muting of players easier. 2: WTF! team. its called teamwork not im going to blindly run around.. Attack/defend the objectives. Apart from that im getting into it.

Sadly, it does have the issue that many games like this have suffered in the past which is "Sentry on point. Sentry on the point. Don't go up there, there's a sentry. See, you died to the sentry, that was your first mistake".


Kind of reminds me of the early days of TF2.

I have 40 hours in this now and am still enjoying it, it's good to jump in solo for 30 minutes to an hour, the competitive play is good as 5v5 actually makes deaths and re spawn timers mean something.

It has it's problems and imbalances still but it's beta after all.

Had some good games with EWJ, Trell, Mr Q and Unspecified last night and it was great fun if not bloody intense on occasions.

Bushwhacker is my go to Merc, managed a 47 for 3 on him a few days a go who needs grenades and air strikes when you can run and gun and catch people out with a sentry.

I can never remember if those loadouts can be bought for in-game credits or not. Still, it looks pretty comprehensive.
